Nina and I met in college at Marian University and quickly became great friends. We were RAs on campus by day and would hit the town together to party the night away. Being a photographer for over 15 years now, it’s amazing to see not only how my photography has changed but also to have photos of some of the same people over such a large span of time to see how they’ve grown, matured, and evolved.
I have photos from Lisa’s, Nina’s sister, wedding and now I’m photographing her children. Photographers are record keepers and archivists and these family photos go to show how far we’ve come. All of us got together one afternoon at Ellenberger Park on the East side of Indianapolis to walk around, let the girls explore nature, and capture some memories.
Formal
Formal photos are important, and the reason we get together for family photos. It’s evident these women and girls love each other from these frames.

Candid
With small children, getting multiple, varied images can be tricky. But I think candid moments can be just as memorable and photogenic as the formal looks. We got some great moments here as we played around the jungle gym at Ellenberger.
