Back in 2011, I spent my Sophomore year spring break doing service work on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. Looking back, it was truly an eye-opening experience that I did not appreciate enough at the time.
Before I went, I asked my photography professor, Bill Foley, if I could borrow his 35mm lens because I didn’t own one. Remember, I was a poor college student. I took some great photos and I love them in black and white.
