In 2009, I enrolled as a freshman at Marian University on the West side of Indianapolis. Down the street from campus was the Major Taylor Skate Park. I spent a lot of time there photographing both the people and the sport and fell in love with the skateboarding scene. I still continue to stop by skate parks — such as the recently-opened Skate Park on the near East side of Indianapolis — to continue to enlarge this body of work.
