Amanda + Robert

Back in 2018, my husband and I went on a tour of the Coca-Cola Bottling plant at the end of Mass Ave. It was hard not to stop in your tracks whenever passing by the building because of the ornate Art Deco architecture twisting and turning from top to bottom of the facade. The space inside was huge, and there were so many neat details adorning the building from the colorful tile to the rich woodwork. Plans were already in the works to renovate the space into a hotel and retail venture. Even then, I knew how beautiful the space would be and dreamed of photographing a wedding there.

When Amanda, or Mina, reached out and asked me to photograph her wedding to Bert and told me the venue would be the Bottleworks Hotel, I was elated! The pictures of the space after the renovation were stunning and I knew every shot inside would be gorgeous. I wasn’t disappointed. The ceremony took place in the Library inside the hotel and we got some great shots along the “camera wall.”

Getting Ready

Weddings are no joke and it takes a lot to get everyone looking good. It’s always great to see everyone getting together and spending time joking and laughing as they get ready for the ceremony.

The Bride

Mina certainly has an eye for style and her dresses — yes, dresses plural — were stunning. She dazzled her way through the day. When someone looks that good, it’s almost impossible to take a bad photo. The picture of Mina in the photo booth is one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken to date.

The Groom

Not to be outdone, Bert had a fun teal suit. This worked so well with the amazing tile in the lobby of the hotel!

The Bride and The Groom

These two were so easy to photograph because of their chemistry and love. They were having the time of their lives all day and it shows!

The Reception

The reception took place just across the street in one of Indianapolis’ most sought-after new restaurants, The Fountain Room. The atmosphere was perfect for the close-knit group of family and friends to celebrate the couple, and celebrate they did! There was no shortage of smiles as the happy couple toasted their marriage.
