A bride and groom share their first kiss, backlit by a gorgeous sunset, surrounded by friends and family.

Kaleigh + Vince

What’s better than being a wedding photographer in Indianapolis in the fall? Not much, to be honest. I was thrilled to photograph Kaleigh and Vince say, “I do!” this past November. These two decided to say their vows on 11-11… make a wish!

The Details

There was no shortage of amazing details to photograph. The winter light of November made everything pop — especially the ring shots! You might recognize The Bottleworks from the previous wedding I shot there in 2022.

The Location

I’ve not had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at Tinker House Events, a local venue with all of the industrial, rustic charm you could ask for. The Ceremony took place on the second floor. Afterwards, guests made their way to the cafe on the first floor while the second floor was flipped for the reception. I love a one-location wedding!

The Couple

Kaleigh and Vince went to high school together, but weren’t high school sweethearts! Both of their families grew up together with one family having three girls and one having three boys. As one of Kaleigh’s sister’s mentioned in her speech, it was only a matter of time before one of the girls married one of the boys.

The Ceremony

I knew before the wedding day that sunset was going to be during the ceremony. I was ecstatic that it wasn’t overcast and I was able to capture all of that golden light as these two made their commitment to one another. This was one of my favorite ceremonies to date.

The Reception

Dinner, drinks, and lots of dancing topped off this wonderful day. I’ve been playing more with capturing the motion and excitement with a slow shutter speed and I’m happy with the results here. Everyone had fun celebrating Kaleigh and Vince!
